Critical Readings in Health

“The author, Professor Jacobs, has spent many years in the health system as a manager and a front line worker. Currently, she is also a caregiver interfacing with the system. The lived experience and research helps in her understanding of how economic inequality, oppression, poverty are factors that are not addressed proactively within our current system. These papers are provocative and challenge the curious reader an alternative to the mainstream texts. Jacobs brings several issues that are health related combining them with social justice understandings.”
